This is such an adorable spot! Part unique grocery store, part French bistro. Great fries! Friendly waitstaff. We had the best time. Right now is patio weather so take advantage while you still can! They have a gorgeous patio! 🤩

👧 KID-FRIENDLY WEEKEND IN NEW BRAUNFELS 🤩
🏡 We stayed at the Garrison in Gruene @gruenehomesteadinn . The Ranch House fit our family of 5, full size kitchen, grill, lawn games, deer right in our yard! 🦌 😍 We loved the location (close to everything).
🍕 Dinner at @infernospizzeria 🤤 It was delicious wood fired pizza (try the Scorpion if you dare! 🔥)
🍦 @rheas.icecream had the best Coffee Oreo ice cream and is right in the heart of beautiful Gruene (their other New Braunfels location has a playground!)
⛳️ We played a round of mini golf at @grueneputtputt (adorable!)
🍭 No visit to Gruene is complete without a stop by their @gruenegeneral store for candy, gifts, and toys!
🥞The next morning we had breakfast at Buttermilk Cafe. They give you coffee cake as a starter and I wasn’t mad about it. 😉 This place was awarded “Best Breakfast In New Braunfels” and it’s easy to see why. It’s the perfect spot to fill up your tummy with hugs before a day of adventuring.
🇩🇪 Then we went to Folk Fest! 🤗 This annual living history & music festival was like stepping back in time. Reenactments, demonstrations, live music, dancing, animals, and more. We made bricks, candles and pottery, face painting, and more.
🚂 Landa Park mini train! This gorgeous park is a must-do anytime you visit New Braunfels.

The food was delicious (get the chips & queso!)
🧁We walked down a few blocks for dessert at @2tartsbakery which is not your average bakery! Owned by 2 sisters who won Food Network’s Holiday Naking Championship in 2023 and Christmas Cookie Challenge in 2019! Everything we tried was delicious!
🍳On Sunday morning, we had breakfast at @forkandspoon_nb and was once again blown away! Everything was crazy delicious (try the french toast!)
🦒 After breakfast, we drove out to @naturalbridge.wildliferanch and did the VIP Giraffe Experience and proved guided tour thru the drive-thru safari. Our tour guide, Kenny, was amazing and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend! 10/10!

🦓 Safari Options:
-Private Guided Tour is $150 total for up to 8 people and is 75 minutes long. You stop half way thru at the concession stand/restroom if you’d like. This is the best option in my opinion. We had done the Self-Guided Tour in the past, but this is far superior. Our tour guide Kenny was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the animals that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. Plus there’s the added benefit of not having to drive so we could focus on feeding the animals and taking videos.
-Self-Guided Tour is $22-$32/person and you drive yourself through. It takes around 1-2 hours to drive through completely.
-Group Guided Tour is $39-$49/person. They will drive you in a group shuttle with other random people. Tour is 75 minutes. Tour guide will also teach you about the animals on the ride.
🦒 VIP Giraffe Experience: this was the highlight of our trip! We got to meet Buddy the giraffe and feed and pet him. Kenny, our tour guide taught us all about Buddy who was very sweet. He has a black tongue and was very gentle. My youngest was a little bit nervous, but finally got the courage to feed him and was so proud of himself! $230 for this experience, includes the drive-thru but number of people and drive-thru options reflect differently in the price.
🦏 You can do a VIP Rhino experience instead of giraffes if you’d like!
This was incredible. Top 5 life experiences for us! 🙌 I would highly recommend both the Giraffe Experience and the Private Guided Tour.
They also have an Aviary Experience and monkeys you can visit (and a petting zoo coming soon)!
