They show the character of Texas\, and in turn\, the character of America. \nThe exhibition highlights 27 festivals that celebrate agriculture and other industries\, nature and natural resources\, and people’s cultural heritage and collective identity. Texas Festivals is broken into three sections\, each addressing a guiding question: What is a festival? What do festivals celebrate? and How do festivals create community? This exhibition reflects the richness of Texas’s industries\, geographies\, communities\, and cultures\, and explores why communities choose to celebrate what they celebrate.

SUMMARY:T. rex: The Ultimate Predator Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Explore the amazing story of the most iconic dinosaur in the world through life-size models\, fossil casts\, and interactives that bring T. rex to life. \nVisitors to T. rex: The Ultimate Predator will encounter a massive life-sized model of a T. rex with patches of feathers — the definitive representation of this prehistoric predator. The exhibition will also include reconstructions of several T. rex hatchlings and a four-year-old juvenile T. rex. Interactives include a “roar mixer” where visitors can imagine what T. rex may have sounded like by blending sounds from other animals; a shadow theater featuring a floor projection of an adult T. rex skeleton coming to life; and a life-sized animation of T. rex in a Cretaceous environment that responds to visitors’ movements. At a tabletop “Investigation Station\,” visitors can explore a variety of fossil casts ranging from coprolites (fossilized feces) to a gigantic femur\, with virtual tools including a CT scanner\, measuring tape\, and a microscope to learn more about what such specimens can reveal to scientists about the biology and behavior of T. rex. \nT. rex: The Ultimate Predator is organized by the American Museum of Natural History\, New York (amnh.org). \nImage Caption: Very few tyrannosaurs have been found that lived between 125 and 84 million years ago\, so in 2009 scientists were excited to announce a new\, mid-sized species that helped fill this 40-million-year gap. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a low-sensory experience at the Bullock Museum. \nEvent Details\nWe invite you to enjoy a special low-sensory experience designed for visitors who prefer a quieter\, less crowded environment. This program provides a welcoming\, low-stress setting to explore the Museum before it opens to the public. \nAdmission is $10 per household and free for Members. Registration is required and limited to 50 people. \nWhat to expect:\nExplore all three floors of our galleries in a calm\, sensory-considerate environment.\nSensory support items available at check-in: sensory bags with fidget toys\, look-and-see cards\, communication sheets\, and sensory maps.\nA limited number of noise-reducing headphones are available.

Experience this free outdoor summer concert series from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Friday in June. \nBring the whole family\, camp chairs\, and blankets to enjoy an incredible lineup of Texas artists. Food and drinks are available for purchase at all MUtS concerts. \nEvent parking is available in the Bullock Museum’s underground garage for $15. Parking is free for Members with a valid membership card.\n7 p.m. | Brodie Lane\nFormed in 2020 by AJ Vallejo\, Brodie Lane melds personal-life folk storytelling with Texas alt-southern rock. Brodie Lane has received several accolades such as #4 Texas & Regional Radio 2021 for “Stuck with You\,” Top 5 single for “Come Home To You\,” and has been nominated for Texas/Regional Awards ‘Best New Band.’ \n8 p.m. | Ian Moore\nAt 8 p.m.\, Austin blues-rock legend Ian Moore takes the stage. Ian performs his own unique combination of musical styles with a deep respect for the Texas songwriters and guitarists who mentored him. He sees the music as a living\, breathing\, ever-changing form that should be left powerful and wild.

Sisters turned bandmates\, The Tiarras have embarked on a journey that defies conventions and embraces sonic exploration. Hailing from a Mexican American heritage\, The Tiarras draw from the rich tapestry of musical diversity that surrounded their upbringing.
