Creative Action

Creative Action, established in 1997, is a nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas, dedicated to using the arts as a medium to inspire creativity, unlock potential, and transform the lives of students of all ages.

Mission Statement:

Creative Action’s mission is to equip the next generation of creative artists, critical thinkers, courageous allies, and confident leaders.

Core Programs:

• After School & Camps: Offering dynamic after-school programs and seasonal camps that provide hands-on, arts-based learning experiences.
• School-Based Programs: Collaborating with schools to integrate arts education into the curriculum, fostering social and emotional learning alongside academic development.
• Teen Programs: Engaging teenagers in creative projects that address community issues, encouraging them to become active participants in social change.
• Community Initiatives: Hosting events and workshops that bring together individuals of all ages to celebrate creativity and community engagement.

Impact:

To date, Creative Action has served over 250,000 youth and families, employed more than 1,000 local artists, and provided 40,000 programming hours annually.

Through its comprehensive programs, Creative Action continues to make a significant impact on the Austin community by fostering creativity, critical thinking, and social responsibility among its participants.
