What’s New For 2024
No More Reserved Tables!
This year, the expanded time block format of general admission with open seating replaces the reserved table seating arrangements. One of the biggest complaints from years past was how quickly they rushed everyone out after their one hour time slot was over. This new system allows for an extended 2.5 hours so everyone can stay longer and enjoy the lights and treats. There will also be special appearances by Santa Claus on select dates!
Your registration allows you access to the Festival of Lights for either a 5-7:30 p.m. time slot or a 7:30-10 p.m. time slot. You will receive a colored wristband for your designated 2 ½ time block.
Igloos
This year, you can reserve a private “euro igloo” Immersive Light Experiences at the Mozart’s 2024 Festival of Lights. Igloos are located on the Overlook Deck next to the Steinway grand piano. Igloos seat 10 people. Kids 18 months and old count towards your group size. You can book an igloo for 1.5 hours at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., or 9 p.m. Reservations here. One ticket per group is required and tickets are $300. No dogs allowed inside igloos. Snuggle up with pillows and blankets, and play games like checkers!
Donut Boats
Donut boats are $150 for 10 people for 45 minutes. This includes unlimited hot cocoa and entry into Mozarts.
Boat Cruises
You can book a single boat ride for $45/person for a 45 minute ride, or a private boat cruise for $450-$600. Reserve your boat rides here.
The Treats
While the lights are the main attraction, the experience doesn’t stop there. Mozart’s offers a variety of holiday-themed treats that will delight your little ones. From hot cocoa to festive pastries, the tantalizing array ensures there’s something for everyone. You must try the hot cocoa, hot pretzels, and cookies! There are also a few spiked drinks, tamales, Salt Lick BBQ, and more!
Photo Ops
We love the vibrant photo opportunities at Mozart’s! They are all super fun and festival and bright.
Is it worth it?
Mozart’s Holiday Light Show is a holiday tradition that brings joy to countless families every year. The combination of a captivating light show, delicious treats, and the warm ambiance makes it a must-visit destination for families seeking festive fun in Austin. If you haven’t yet experienced the Holiday Lights Show at Mozart’s, this season is the perfect time to start! I would definitely recommend that you try it at least once if you never have. I don’t think it’s one of those events you need to do every year, but it’s fun to go back every few years or so. Some people love going yearly as an annual tradition. We loved the addition of the boats this year and the rooftop igloos also make it a magical experience (especially if it’s a super cold night). We also enjoyed watching the movies out on the water!
