Found! The Best Date Night: Austin Wine Collective
I’ve discovered the best way to spend a date night or Mom’s Night Out in Austin! The Austin Wine Collective is a wine passport. You get a glass of wine from each of three local wineries. The best part is that they are all right in the heart of Austin. No more driving all the way to hill country for a winery tour! You can just walk or take a pedicab to the three partner wineries. Blurred Vines, Cape Bottle Room, and Wanderlust Wine Co.
Austin Wine Collective
Three local Austin wineries- Blurred Vines, Cape Bottle Room, and Wanderlust Wine Co- have come together as partners to create the ultimate wine passport. You get a glass of wine from each winery all within three blocks of each other, right in the heart of Austin. The wineries are fun to walk to if the weather’s nice, or easy to take a quick pedicab ride to get to the next one. Get your passport here.
Blurred Vines
We started our wine crawl at Blurred Vines. Malon greeted us right away and gave us some backstory on the place and how the Austin Wine Collective came to be. We were given a glass of wine (my favorite from all 3 wineries!) and were told we could partake from the impressive cheese board. A musician playing guitar started singing and filled the cozy atmosphere with pleasant tunes. After about an hour, we left to go to the next winery.
Cape Bottle Room
We took a pedicab to the next winery, Cape Bottle Room and were given another glass of wine and a second stamp on our wine passport. I also ordered a cheese plate, since we hadn’t had enough to eat yet and this was our dinner!
Wanderlust Wine Co
Wanderlust Wine Co was our last stop on the wine crawl, and had my favorite vibe. There was a fun musician playing some tunes, a lively atmosphere, wines on tap, and even an intriguing wine vending machine (that was still in Japanese). We each got a glass of sparkling wine from The World’s Largest Self-Pour Wine on Tap Winery. We didn’t order any food here, but there are Spanish Tapas and Charcuterie Boards available. This was my favorite place because of how fun the vibe was, very unpretentious for a winery.
