There’s so much to do this April in Austin with kids! April is my favorite month- it’s my birthday month, the weather is gorgeous, and all the fun events make it the best month of the year.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm Egg Hunts begin this Saturday, April 2, 2022 and run through Easter Sunday.
Dino Days at the Zilker Botanical Garden April 2 & 9 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. 2220 Barton Springs Rd, Austin
Parent and Toddler Yoga is on every Saturday in April 2 from 9:30-10 a.m. at Mueller Lake Park, 4550 Mueller Blvd, Austin.
Sherwood Forest Faire is open from dawn til dusk weekends through April 24, 2022.
Barton Hill Farms Berries & Bunnies Festival runs weekends through April 16, 2022.
ABC Kite Fest is April 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Free First Sunday at the Bullock is April 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Meet Pete the Cat in Round Rock on April 3, 2022 at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Prete Plaza.

Squirrel Fest at Pease park is April 9, 2022 at 4 p.m. is a FREE day of fun, music, and a movie in the park. 1100 Kingsbury St, Austin
Balloons Over Horseshoe Bay Festival is April 15-17, 2022. You can see hot air balloons take to the skies over the Horseshoe Bay Resort this Easter weekend. There’s live music, food, a petting zoo, pony rides, games, and even an egg drop for the kids!
Pinballz egg hunts are at all 3 locations on April 16, 2022 from 11-12:30.
The Little Gardeners Workshop at Lowes is FREE and on April 16, 2022.
Kids Obstacle Challenge on April 21, 2022 is for kids ages 4-14 who want to challenge themselves through a muddy obstacle course.
Red Poppy Festival is April 22-24, 2022 in Georgetown.
Zilker Botanical Garden Surreal Garden from April 22-30, 2022 is a botanical themed neon wonderland.
Play For All 500 is April 30, 2022 from 8-11 a.m. Race along the racetrack at Play For All Abilities Park in Round Rock!
April Events For Kids In Austin
Strawberry picking at Sweet Berry Farm. Check their Facebook or Instagram for updates on how the picking’s going. They are open daily (closed every Weds). 1801 FM1980, Marble Falls
Search for bluebonnets at Northwest District Park, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Brushy Creek Lake Park, Muleshoe Bend, Old Settlers Park, and the Lady Bird Hike & Bike Trail. They’re not fully out yet, but they will be soon!
April is the perfect month to visit a new playground, go hiking or camping!
Visit the new Catch Air that just opened back up. 13450 N Highway US183, STE107, Austin
Splash and play in the Liz Carpenter splash pad at Butler Park, then visit the Alliance Children’s Garden playground.
