FAQ

Do you have to pay to get into any splash pads?

Two Austin park splash pads are pay-to-enter: Quarry Splash Pad and Garey Park. Quarry Splash Pad is is $2 a ticket, as is Garey Park (for residents! Otherwise $4/ticket). Kids 3 and under get in for free at Garey Park.

Are any splash pads open for year-round water play?

The Sharon Prete Plaza splash pad is open year-round, closed only for special events or some holidays. Bring your little ones any time of year!

When does the splash pad season in Austin end?

Most Austin splash pads are open through October 31.

What should my kid wear to the splash pads?

Swimsuits and water shoes! Shoes are not required at splash pads, but you may feel more comfortable with your kid in a pair of flip-flops or Crocs if you’re worried about cuts or scrapes on the concrete floors. Austin park splash pads may be softer on the feet, as many have rubber flooring.

What should I bring with me?

For a splash pad, you don’t need to bring anything but yourself! It might be fun, though, to bring a water gun or other toys with you to engage in some creative water play.
