Friday, January 12

Fortlandia at the Wildflower Center from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily.

Family Movie Night at The Pitch is at 6:30 p.m. They will be showing Guardians of the Galaxy.

Saturday, January 13

Baby Bloomers at The Thinkery from 8-10 a.m. for ages 0-3 years old.

Second Saturday For Kids at Texas Farmers’ Market Lakeline. Every Second Saturday, enjoy fun activities for kids at TFM at Lakeline! Activities will vary each month. 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Kids Birdseed Pinecone Workshop at Plant Party every Sat & Sun in January from 10 a.m. – noon. $10 Reserve your time slot here.

Domain Farmers Market from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Quacktastic Day at The Domain Farmers Market: Rubber Duck Hunt (find hidden rubber ducks and win charming prizes. Perfect for families and kids of all ages!), Rubber Duck Themed Crafts, Duck Stickers, Name That Duck Tune &  Duck Waddle Dance-Off.

Second Saturdays are for Families at Laguna Gloria from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. free admission and kids can make a winter scene in clay! Use tools and trimmings to press, roll, stamp, engrave, layer, and beautify your tile.

EXCUSED ABSENCE COMEDY Saturday Family Shows at ColdTowne Theater. Weekly Improv Comedy Shows for Families featuring a fantastic adult cast of Improvisers, performances shift easily between entertaining kids and their adults, emphasizing the joyful “Yes, and!” of Improv. High-energy, interactive and so much fun. Audience members provide the ideas and characters that our actors bring to life. 1700 East 2nd Street. Free Parking is available. Second Saturdays at The Blanton from 3-8 p.m. $20 (Ages 6-17: $10; 5 & under: Free) Every second Saturday, come hang on the Blanton’s new Moody Patio. Enjoy live DJ sets on the museum’s redesigned grounds and a variety of programs throughout the museum, from tours to poetry readings to pop-up exhibitions. Local food and drinks for sale; picnics encouraged. Galleries open till 8 p.m.

Goat Shenanigans at The Hive from 4-5:30 p.m. $10-22, tickets here. Come cuddle up with some baby goats at The Hive coffee shop in South Austin! Each ticket comes with an coffee of your choice or you can get a pint from the draught for $1 more. MLK Day March and Celebration from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Old Town Park, 105 N. Brushy St. Leander

Pease Park Conservancy MLK Day Food Drive from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. In honor of Martin Luther King Day 2024, please bring donations to the Pease Park Conservancy MLK Day Food Drive supporting the Micah 6 Food Pantry! Feel free to bring extra cardboard boxes to make sorting and transporting easier. 1100 Kingsbury Street, Austin

Free Day at the Zilker Botanical Garden from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
