Ballet Austin celebrates Mexican heritage and the remarkable journey of Monarch butterflies this October with a heartwarming story about family, friendship and love. Donde van las Mariposas / A Fable from México will debut at Ballet Austin’s 250-seat studio theater on Oct. 12 & 13 and 19 & 20. All tickets are reserved seating and on sale now for $20 for all eight matinee performances, Oct. 12-13 and Oct. 19-20. Tickets can be purchased at balletaustin.org
The production is the latest work in Ballet Austin’s Fables of the World series and follows a young woman on a cultural journey of self-discovery starting with the annual celebration of Día de los Muertos and the long-awaited butterfly migration. This family-friendly production is set to a mix of traditional Mexican, classical, and new music and is sure to bring magic to all ages this October!
