Weekly Improv Comedy Shows for Families

Featuring a fantastic adult cast of Improvisers, performances shift easily between entertaining kids and their adults, emphasizing the joyful “Yes, and!” of Improv. High-energy, interactive and so much fun. Audience members provide the ideas and characters that our actors bring to life.

  • ColdTowne is located at 1700 East 2nd Street. Free Parking is available.
  • Though these shows can be enjoyed by all ages, the target audience is kids 4 to 10.
  • Tickets are $5, available at the door or in advance here.

About ExAb at ColdTowne Youth Shows:

We really, really love Improv and because of that, we want to share it with people in the most welcoming and entertaining way possible. These shows are interactive, but no one is required to volunteer or take part. Kids are on stage frequently, but the adult cast guides the show to create a fast paced, hilarious comedy that entertains at multiple levels. Whether you are a life long comedy fan hoping to share this work with your kids or a parent looking for a creative experience to share with your child, we look forward to seeing you at the theater. It’s always a very good time.

There’s so much for kids to do here! An entire kids section that has bouldering, a slide, a warped wall, ropes climbing/belay, and more!

I also love how welcoming they are towards kids in the adult section. My kids wanted to try some more challenging stuff out in the big area and they were encouraged to try it! There’s a helpful code system that has cute little animal faces to show the difficulty level. For example, my kids mostly stuck to the “Sloth” belays (the easiest ones).

🧸 Indoor/outdoor play area. Is it indoors? Is it outdoors? It’s both! 👏 Such a genius concept and I’ve never seen anything else like it. Perfect for patio season (right now!!!) but also hot weather or cold weather. It’s covered and indoors but also right off the patio so it’s sort of outside too? Whatever you call it, I think it’s perfect!! There’s so much to play with and it’s a large play area so even if it’s crowded there’s still plenty of room and lots to do!

🪑 They have a gorgeous patio that’s covered so you can enjoy it almost year round.

🍣My youngest isn’t a big eater, so we were able to order a single roll for him a la carte and not pay the All You Can Eat price!
