The Jurassic Jamboree is a family-friendly dinosaur festival hosted by Sweet Eats Fruit Farm. Known for its seasonal events, Sweet Eats Fruit Farm goes all out for this annual festival, creating a unique experience where visitors can step back in time to the Jurassic era. This immersive festival includes lifelike animatronic dinosaurs, fossil digging, dinosaur-themed games, and a massive corn maze with hidden dinosaurs waiting to be discovered. They even have a dinosaur show on weekends where you can dance with a dinosaur!
Why the Jurassic Jamboree Dinosaur Festival is Perfect for Kids
Kids will be amazed by the realistic, life-sized dinosaurs that move and roar as they wander through the corn field. There’s also a sand pit where they can dig for fossils, and a dinosaur show on the weekends where they can meet (and dance!) with a real dinosaur!
Top Attractions at Sweet Eats
My kids have always loved coming to Sweet Eats over the years. I love that there’s so much to do here! We spend hours here and still feel like we didn’t have a chance to do it all! Here are some of our favorite things:
1. Giant Corn Maze with Hidden Dinosaurs
- Embark on an adventure through Sweet Eats’ giant corn maze, where you’ll find animatronic dinosaurs lurking around every corner. Kids can “hunt” for dinosaurs while navigating the maze, adding an extra layer of excitement to this classic fall activity.
2. Pig Races
- This is always a must-do when visiting the farm. They have pig races all day long, so make sure you stop and watch one while you’re there!
3. Apple Cannons
- You get one free apple included with the price of admission. More are available to buy over by the cannons. My kids love the rush of firing their apples!
4. Bounce Pillows
- Sweet Eats has not one, but TWO (!) giant bounce pillows, and one is completely shaded! How nice is that?!
5. Petting Zoo and Pony Rides
- My kids love petting all the farm animals and riding the horses.
6. Zip Line
- This is another very popular attraction at the farm! Usually has a long line because it’s so much fun.
Tips for Visiting Sweet Eats With Kids
- Purchase tickets online (they’re usually cheaper!)
- Arrive first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon to beat the crowds. We came at 3 p.m. and all the crowds had mostly left for the day by then.
- Wear shoes/clothes that are good for lots of walking and that can get dirty! Remember, this is a farm! It might be tempting to want to dress up cute for photos, but chances are you will get dirty here.
- Bring your own food/drinks! This is one of my favorite things about coming here. They allow outside food in, so you can save tons of money by bringing in your own. They also have lots of food for purchase if you forget your own.
