Cinnamon Shore: The Perfect Beach Getaway For Austin Families
Location
Right on the beach in Port Aransas, Texas! Cinnamon Shore has the best location and is only a quick 4 hour drive from Austin.
Where We Stayed
We stayed at the Fun Never Sets home in Cinnamon Shore South and it was absolute perfection! This home could easily accommodate up to 4 families. We were right next to the family pool! There were 4 master bedrooms, plus 3 sets of bunk beds for the kids. There was a giant kitchen plus a grill, so many adorable outdoor spaces for hanging out all with views of the pool and lake. Each floor had multiple TV’s and bathrooms. There was even an elevator so you don’t have to take the stairs to get between floors unless you wanted to. I loved the smaller details too, like having a washer/dryer and a special ice maker. The beds are all super comfy too. We can’t wait to go back and stay at this exact same house. 10/10, no notes. I would not change a thing!
The Beach
You can easily walk to the beach (it’s less than 500 feet away), but my boys prefer taking the golf cart over. They make it super easy to access the beach either on foot or by golf cart with the beach ramps. You can also choose to add on to your stay by including beach chair and umbrellas set up which is such a game changer. Forget lugging all your stuff to the beach! They will come and set up chairs and umbrellas for you so that all you need to bring are some toys and snacks. No more fighting against the wind trying to set up your beach tent!
The Pool
We loved staying right next to the pools. One is an adults-only pool and the other is the family pool which was great! There’s a little splash pad area and baby pool for the toddlers and a gorgeous bigger infinity pool. There’s even food/drink service over there so you can spend the whole day here if you wanted!
Golf Carts
My kids will tell you that their favorite thing about going to the beach is the golf carts! They love riding around in them, and it makes heading over to the beach so much easier. We love the luxury golf carts at Cinnamon Shore. They can easily fit our family of 5 plus all our beach gear!
Cinnamon Shore North
If you’re looking for the place with all the action, you’re going to want to head to Cinnamon Shore North. It’s a short golf cart ride down the beach to get to it, and they have all the restaurants and parties over there. There is a bistro, a pizza place (highly recommend!), a fancier restaurant (try the risotto!), a coffee shop (try the cinnamon donuts!), shopping, and more. We were in town for their Beach, Boos & BBQ Fall Festival event and everything was held in the common area.
Sports/Play
You can find basketball, pickleball, fishing, a fitness center, and playground all at Cinnamon Shore!
Why You’ll Love It
No matter where you stay at Cinnamon Shore, you will have a fantastic time. All of the homes are beautiful and spacious. The amenities are exceptional. They have thought of everything you could possibly need or want out of a family-friendly vacation.
When To Go
We think this is a year-round destination. Yes, even in the winter! They have fun events all year long, like the Nutcracker Market and Santa’s First Stop (the day after Thanksgiving). Of course, spring break and summer will be the most popular times to visit, but I happen to think October is the best month for coming to Cinnamon Shore! The weather is still great, the ocean water is actually warm, and it’s definitely less crowded. Plus, we had an absolute blast at the Halloween event!
