The Trail
The half-mile trail takes about 45 minutes to an hour (or longer depending on how fast or slow you go). It is not paved, but a good jogging stroller or wagon could make it easily on this trail. Sneakers are recommended. It’s very shady out on the trail, but sunscreen, hats, and water are always a good idea. None of the dinosaur exhibits along the trail are to be touched or climbed on, unless specified by a sign or are wearing a saddle.
Playground
The fantastic playground area when you first step outside of the gift shop has 2 playgrounds, swings, ride on dinosaurs, and a fossil dig. There are plenty of covered pavilions with picnic tables, so bring your own food for lunch and hang out after you do the trail! Concessions are not sold on site, so bring your own coolers/lunch (no glass).
Gift Shop
The gift shop is huge and has everything a dinosaur lover could ever want! There’s even a dollar toy section, so you can make it out without spending millions.
