Fun + Food Pairing: Jessica Hollis Park + Oz Tap House
A fun + food pairing: Jessica Hollis Park + Oz Tap House! We love combining an outing with a fun restaurant (usually with a playground). This combo is only about 10 minutes apart from each other and was a fun way to spend a hot summer day. We visited Jessica Hollis Park first for some cold water swimming, then had lunch over at Oz Tap House.

Fun + Food Pairing: Jessica Hollis Park
Jessica Hollis Park is just on the other side of the Lake Travis Dam and is technically considered north Lake Austin. You can SUP or kayak over here. For rentals, go to greenbeltoutdoors.com, click rent now, Jessica Hollis, type of gear, date, duration, and you’ll receive a confirmation text.
There isn’t really a beach area, but there’s a little patch of grass on the left side of the bridge. There are also several picnic tables and grills. Don’t bother crossing the bridge- it’s all private property on the other side!
Bring a ball or some floats to hang out with in the water. I would recommend water shoes since the lake bottom is rough and rocky. The water here is chilly- perfect on a hot summer day when there’s been no rain and there really isn’t anywhere with good, cold swimmable water! You can bring a picnic or even grill out!
Oz Tap House
Oz is great for parents and kids! There’s a covered patio, foosball, and a playground. You can pour your own beer, wine, and cocktails inside which is so fun. their food is great too! This is such a great spot for families with kids to meet up and spend an afternoon or evening out together.
