Have you been to all 6 of these children’s museums? These would make a great spring break idea! 1. @thinkeryatx is the only children’s museum that’s actually in Austin! Bring a change of clothes in case they get soaked in the water room! There’s a baby room, lots for toddlers/preschoolers, and even a room that’s fun for older kids! 2. @sciencemilltx is in Johnson City. Best for older kids, ages 5 and up! 3. @tcm_kids is in Temple. Best for babies, toddlers, preschoolers. It’s small but super fun! Reserve your spot before you go. 4. @mckennakids is in New Braunfels. It’s fantastic! Best for younger kids. You may want a change of clothes for the outdoor water play area. 5. @thedoseum is in San Antonio. This is our favorite one! Best for all ages. It’s huge and there’s so much to do! 6. @maybornmuseum is in Waco. It’s not huge, but there’s plenty to do! Right now their featured exhibit is on space. You could also add a trip to the @cpzoo or the @drpeppermuseum while you’re in Waco!
🍺 Hidden gem of a brewery that’s less than an hour away from Austin and sits right on a creek! 📍 @barrowbeer 108 Royal St, Salado 🍺 We love this gorgeous spot up in Salado! There’s a sprawling beer garden that has some shady tables by the swing, as well as a covered canopy with tables for more shade. 🍕 There’s a pizza food truck, but we always bring our own food to share with friends when we come. Today we brought charcuterie, fruit, veggies, etc. 🏈 Bring your sports balls for the big open field! There’s also a swing for the kids. 💦 The main attraction is the creek! There were lots of kids wading and splashing around and the weather was perfect for this. Bring swimsuits, towels, hats, sunscreen, etc. be more prepared than we were! The kids will not be able to resist getting in the water. It’s perfectly shallow enough for kids to stand in. This may change after a big rain!

🌳 HIKE + PLAYGROUND (+ BONUS RESTAURANT WITH A PLAYGROUND!) 📍 We started at Chautauqua Park (602 Rucker St, Georgetown) because it has a playground and is right next to the trailhead. 🥾 This is a challenging trail that I would not recommend to first time hikers! There are lots of stairs, rocks, and cliff drop-offs. Keep your little kids close. The trail will lead you to Blue Hole Park in Georgetown and that part is less than a mile. 💦 Plan ahead and play at Blue Hole! Bring swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, water, etc. you can float and swim and fish here. 🍔 Here’s the bonus part of this hike (and my kids’ favorite part): there’s a @hatcreekburgers just up the hill from Blue Hole! They also recently updated their playground here.
