Austin’s list of breweries seems to grow bigger every week, but the real draw for parents are the ones with playgrounds! I want to ~~kiss~~ ~~shake hands~~ fist bump the genius who came up with this concept, but instead I will just keep visiting all the Austin breweries with playgrounds. If you vote with your dollars, then I vote for more playgrounds!

Meanwhile Brewing

This is probably our favorite Austin brewery. It’s so hard to choose just one! But we really love the beers, the tree covered beer garden, the food trucks, the playground, and the turf covered soccer field for the kids to play on. Plus they often have great bands that play on the stage.

There is a tiny playground here, so it made the list. It’s really more like turf-covered hills and yard games like Connect 4, but it’s enough to keep the kids occupied while you enjoy a beer and relax.

Austin Beerworks – Sprinkle Valley

This is the new location for Austin Beerworks, and it’s a good one! They have a beautiful outdoor space with a shaded playground, toys, and disc golf. There’s also an indoor “Family Room” with tv shows for kids, toys, and games (all in the AC!) They also have hats, sunscreen, and bug spray to borrow if you forgot yours and want to sit outside.

Jester King has always been a family favorite, with the wide open space to play and the goats, but they recently added a playground and we could not be more excited!

Slackers Brewing Co.

A new coffee shop and brewery up north with a little indoor play space for kids, as well as foosball, games, books, and more. Open Tues- Sun with live music on weekend nights.

Playground is new! The food here is fantastic. We loved the artichoke hearts, cheesy bread, and pizza.

This is the most family-friendly brewery! They have an amazing playground on a beautiful beer garden. They’re also just down the road from Hamilton Pool! (NOTE: Check to make sure they’re open! They may still be temporarily closed!)

Fitzhugh Brewing

Fitzhugh has a lovely beer garden with an impressive playscape, tree covered tables, and even some lawn games like Connect 4. It’s just down the street from both Jester King and Beerburg Brewing, making it easy to brewery-hop (if that’s a thing).

12 Fox is family-friendly to the MAX! Not only do they have a playground, but they have really fun kid events like Trunk-or-Treat, Easter egg hunts and visits from Santa!
