Spas

I was blown away by how much I loved this spa. The Spa inside Kalahari (the largest indoor waterpark in America) is its own entity, so you don’t need waterpark passes or reservations to the resort to visit the Spa. You do need to book a Spa treatment to use the Spa facilities which includes an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, lounge spaces, a sauna, and a Halotherapy (Himalayan Salt Room). Spa services include massage, facials, nails, and hair treatments. The mom in your life will love spending an entire day at this luxurious spa!

Brunch

Brunch at Fairmont Austin is May 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. $125/adult, $35/kid (4 and under are free). Celebrate Mother’s Day at Fairmont Austin with a splendid spread of brunch buffet favorites including slow roasted prime rib, a decadent pastry display and more. Additionally, hotel & brunch guests can enjoy a special pop-up marketplace presenting local retail vendors in partnership with Austin Flea throughout the event. Join us on the 3rd floor’s lavish Congressional Ballroom to enjoy this festive experience and turn moments into memories!

Kalahari is having their Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Adults are $74, kids are $29 (2 and under are free). Make a reservation here.

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm is hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12, 2024 and you can also pick your mom some flowers at the farm! $23/adult and $18/kid from 12-2 p.m.

Cork & Barrel in Round Rock is hosting a Mother’s Day Brunch from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on May 12 for $20-50.

Brunch

The Way Back Austin is having a Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12. Enjoy shopping on the lawn and inside the cabana with Westlake’s newest children’s boutique We Love Dearly. You can pre order your mom a custom bouquet of flowers from Blumen Floral and pick up at brunch and gift it to your mom! Go here for preorders. Rockabilly Brewing in Hutto is having a Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12 at 11 a.m.

Brunch at Suds Monkey at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. make reservations online.

As far as other brunch spots go, we love Moonshine, Jack Allen’s, Snooze, 1886 Cafe inside the Driskill, Oasthouse, and Oakmont Food Company.

Tea Party

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea at Rivery Coffee & Bagels in Georgetown is May 10-12 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Indulge in a delightful afternoon with your mom at Rivery Coffee and Bagels! The Driskill Hotel does a Mother’s Day Grand Tea for $45-145 at 10:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. Register before you go. Held in The Driskill Ballroom, this lavish tea service features three courses including scones, tea sandwiches and desserts accompanied by a selection of bespoke brews. In addition to enjoying a famed afternoon delight, mark the moment with a professional family portrait on a decorated set in our Maximillian Room. Add the finishing touch to Mom’s Day and surprise her with a bouquet of roses, bushel of lilies or handmade corsage from Jordan Flowers. Brentwood Social House is hosting a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea on May 12 at 2 p.m. Join us for a wonderful Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea with a 3-tiered stand of crafted sweet and savory items with tea. Ours is a casual, cozy Afternoon Tea with mismatched vintage china pieces set in a quaint coffee house. $70/person

Mother’s Day Tea at Pioneer Farms from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on May 11, 2024. Tickets to the Tea are $10 per person, in addition to admission. Must pre-purchase tickets to the Tea by May 5. Held rain or shine. No refunds for Mother’s Day Tea.

Mozart’s Coffee Mother’s Day Tea party is on May 11 & 12 from 9-11 a.m. Indulge in a morning of exquisite table service with a delightful array of light bites, decadent desserts, and superb tea, coffee, and more!

Flowers and Plants

The Zilker Botanical Garden is a lovely place to spend a day with Mom. Make a day of it and pack a picnic to eat at Zilker Park afterwards!

Beauty & Blooms with Mom on May 4 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Bee Cave Public Library, 4000 Galleria Pkwy, Bee Cave Join us for our first Mother’s Day event the weekend before Mother’s Day and receive a beautiful printed photo from our Photo Booth that will feature a floral backdrop and a mini floral bouquet from our flower bar to take home as a gift (while supplies last). We will be right in front of the Bee Cave Public Library 📚 Bring your family, Mom, or friends and enjoy a fun Saturday out in the community. The Hill Country Galleria will be hosting their Bee Cave Artisan Market (from 11am-4pm) where you can shop for Mother’s Day gifts like beautiful art, delicious gourmet foods, unique beauty & wellness products, and live music performances from your favorite local musicians.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is also a perfect place to take Mom for Mother’s Day. We end up spending hours in the family garden, in the giant nests, exploring in the waterfall tunnel, and more. May is a beautiful time of year to see so many flowers in bloom there.

The Natural Gardener is a place that more of a destination than just a plain old garden nursery. You can bring the kids and stay for a while- there’s so much to do here! Visit the chickens and goats, climb the dinosaur structure, pick out some plants- my boys loved it here!

Shopping

Strolling South Congress is always a favorite place to shop. I love this option for both moms with their kids or moms with other mom friends (leave the kids at home). For brunch before you shop, try June’s or Perla’s!

Mother’s Day Sip & Shop on Saturday, May 4 at Letterpress Play from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Celebrate the special day with a 10% discount on all items in-store and online at letterpressplay.com. It’s the perfect opportunity to find a unique gift for Mom! Mother’s Day Market with Austin Vendor Market on May 12 at noon at Meanwhile Brewing. Austin Vendor Market is popping up in our beer garden for Mother’s Day. Arrive at 10am for a free Vinyasa Yoga class with Austin Bouldering Project on the soccer field.
