1. Meanwhile Brewing

Meanwhile is probably our favorite place in all of Austin, and the place we are most likely to take out of town visitors. They have the best shady patio in town, a gorgeous playground for the kids, a turf soccer field, and the best food trucks. Everyone will love the pizza, Tex-Mex, BBQ, or sandwiches, but perhaps the best food truck of all time is Besame Homemade Ice Cream!
2. Littlefield’s Tacos + Coffee

We love how charming Littlefield’s is and also love to bring visitors here. Veracruz is the taco truck here, and they have some of the best tacos in all of Austin. Kids will love to play on the turf hills and eat SnoRide snow cones.
3. Austin Beerworks

Austin Beerworks has great beer and a single food truck, plus a turf covered play area for kids. It’s one of the best kid-friendly breweries in north Austin.
4. 5000 Burnet

Don’t sleep on 5000 Burnet Food Truck Park! T-Locs has the best hot dogs in all of Austin. There’s a small playground here as well.
5. Fired Pizzas

We love this Oak Hill/ Southwest Austin spot for pizza, not only because they have a fantastic patio and playground, but also because KIDS EAT FREE with purchase of adult pizza!
6. Thicket Food Park
Thicket Food Park is a shady spot with food trucks that surround a play area for kids. The playscape is tucked away from the parking lot but is not fenced in.
7. Bouldin Acres

Bouldin Acres is another perfect place to bring out of town guests. They’re in a great location, close to downtown and Zilker. The patio and playground are both shady, and they even have mister fans blowing on really hot days. The food truck here features smoked BBQ, giving you a true Texas treat.
8. The Good Lot
The Good Lot in Cedar Park has several food trucks, a shady beer garden, and a cute little playscape for the kids.

10. Fieldhouse at the Crossover

The Fieldhouse has a huge outdoor patio with soccer, sand volleyball, pickleball, a stage, and a playground! There are several food trucks to choose from here as well.
