Not far from here is Sur La Table, which offers fun cooking camps for kids during the summer! My older boys took a week long cooking camp here and not only did they make the most delicious things, they had a ton of fun.

There’s a small play are out front of Whole Foods as well. Grab something to eat & drink and sit outside while the kids play.

The Yard Milkshake Bar

The Unicorn and Keep Austin Weird shakes from The Yard Milkshake Bar

The Yard Milkshake Bar is quite the experience. They have unique ice cream flavors if you don’t want a shake, but the real reason to come here is for the over-the-top milkshakes. Event the smallest size are big enough for 2 people to share but good luck getting everyone to agree on what flavor to choose! They all sound (and look) amazing. There’s also a little fenced in play area nearby.

Domain II (between Dick’s and Dillards)

This section of The Domain is referred to as Domain II. There are 3 little play areas for kids over here, as well as a great lawn across from iPic Theaters where you can play lawn games sometimes.

Activate Games in the Domain
Activate Games

A new addition to Domain II is Activate Games! It’s like playing a video game in real life (but not VR). Make sure you wear your sneakers and workout clothes- you will work up a sweat!

Game Show Battle Rooms Domain Austin
Game Show Battle Rooms

We had a blast at Game Show Battle Rooms! It’s the perfect spot for a large group or family and friends and is fun for a wide range of ages! My 8 year old played this with my 13 and 16 year old sons and their friends. You get to play game shows in real life!

Children playing mini golf indoors at the Dirdie Birdie
The Dirdie Birdie indoor mini golf course!

The Dirdie Birdie is across from iPic Theater. Only kids age 6 and up can play here, and it’s really geared to older tweens and teens (and adults). It’s pricey too ($18/person), so I would save this place for a fancy celebration of some sort (like a special birthday outing).

Museum of Illusions

The Museum of Illusions is right across from The Dirdie Birdie. This is better for tweens and teens, but little kids will still like it too!

Jump! Gymnastics can be found at 10910 Domain Dr.

There’s another great lawn area out in front of Culinary Dropout. We like to get cupcakes from Sprinkles and eat them out on the lawn while the kids play. They often hold kid-friendly events here throughout the year. Culinary Dropout has fun games on their covered patio that kids will enjoy. The Yard House has a great patio and fun kids menu as well.

Rock Rose

Hat Creek

The only restaurant with a playground in the Domain is Hat Creek. Right across the street from here is Sandbox VR (fun for groups)! And for dessert, check out It’s Sugar or Jeni’s Ice Cream.
