Need a place to go where you can work while the kids play in Austin? There are several weeks coming up where the kids have off school, and childcare/camps can be pricy! Here’s where we would recommend bringing the kids where the WIFI is just as strong as the coffee!

North Austin

Think Lounge

A co-work cafe plus childcare. The perfect solution for entertaining your kids in a safe, supervised space while you get your work done in a serene coffee shop! They offer drop-in childcare, a preschool program, and more.

Cheeky Monkeys

An indoor playground in Cedar Park that has a large cafe space and great WiFi. My favorite thing about this place is that there is a giant screen showing cameras all throughout the playground, so you can work while keeping an eye on where your kids are at all times. No need to climb all around searching for them! You can just check the screen!

Indigo Play

Indoor playground with fast WiFi for the parents to get some work done. They also have a cafe so you can work & eat/drink!

Mt Playmore

Comfortable seating or tables in the cafe area make this an excellent place to get some work done while the kids run around and play. Kids eat free on Wednesdays!

The sweetest little indoor play area for kids, plus an outdoor playground! You’re covered no matter the weather.

Lazarus Brewing Co (Airport Blvd)

They have a really cool pirate ship playground, plus coffee, beer, and tacos and a really nice outdoor patio.

La Dosis Coffee & Cocktails

This funky little cafe has the magical bouncy treenets in the back! You can work outside while the kids jump around.

Slackers Brewing Co

Slackers is the best of both worlds! They now open early for coffee and have both an indoor play area AND an outdoor patio/play area! It’s one of the old Fortlandia forts (Mars Base). We love this spot for all ages (from toddlers-teens). They even have a breastfeeding/quiet room if you need to feed your baby or calm your over-stimulated kid. Toddlers and kids can play in the toy area and older kids can play foosball, PacMan, or board games!

South Austin

The Hive

Come here when the weather is nice and you need to get some work done but also want to get the kids outside to play. They have the best outdoor play are for kids!

Meanwhile Brewing

Our favorite brewery! They also serve coffee! Excellent spot for play dates when the weather is nice. Sit outside among the trees while the kids play at the playground or on the soccer field. Food trucks available as well.

Easy Tiger South Lamar

The play area here is tiny, but you can definitely get some work done at this cafe while the kids play for a bit.

Progress Coffee (Buda)

The Progress Coffee Buda location has a huge patio, half is covered, and there’s a playscape for kids! Get your caffeine fix (plus they serve cocktails if you’d rather. No judgement.)
