- Central Market North Lamar on Tuesdays after 4:30 p.m. they typically have free live music on the patio playing most nights as well!
- Blue Corn Harvest on Mondays

FREE THINGS TO DO WITH KIDS IN AUSTIN THIS SUMMER

- Free Kids DIY Workshops are at Home Depot on the first Saturday of each month.
- Nature Nights at Wildflower Center Thursday evenings in June (free admission from 6-9 p.m.) and Lady Bird Day is free on July 23rd.
- St Edwards Park has a fun rope swing (just be sure to not leave any valuables in your car!)
- Most splash pads are free in town. Here’s a list of where to find them!
- Zilker Summer Musical is free every year (this year it’s Newsies!)
- Brushy Creek Trail Playgrounds are all free (and Brushy Creek Lake Park has a splash pad!)
- Swimming holes like Blue Hole in Georgetown, Tejas Camp, Lake Pflugerville, and Secret Beach are all free!
- Sign up for a Summer Reading Program and visit the Central Public Library.
- H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks is free!
- See the bats along the South Congress Bridge.
- See the real dinosaur tracks in Leander.
- Try the dirt jumps at 9th Street BMX or Elizabeth Milburn Park in Cedar Park.
- Visit the peacocks at Mayfield Park, visit the outdoor art museum at Laguna Gloria (free on Thursdays), and climb Mt Bonnell.
Free Things To Do With Kids in Austin This Summer

- Free orchestra concerts every Sunday at the Long Center every Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
- Spare Time Bowling Free Summer Fun Pass: kids ages 5-14 can enjoy ONE FREE Game of Bowling (shoes included) or ONE FREE Laser Tag Mission each weekday before 6 p.m.
- FREE Kid’s Yoga @peasepark kicks off this Friday, 5/27 at 9:15 a.m. with @atxyogagirl on the dates: 6/24, 7/22, 8/26. RSVP on the Pease Park website.
- Visit Wimberley for their free Wimberley Market Days (first Saturday of the month), Pioneer Town, and the creek downtown.
- Mural tour of Austin (snap selfies at the famous murals like I Love You So Much, Greetings From Austin, You Belong Among the Wildflowers, and You’re My Butter Half).
- Austin Nature & Science Center is hours of free entertainment (dig for dino bones, see fossils, visit the animals).
- Walk along the Ann & Roy Butler Hike & Bike Trail to work up a sweat, then take a dip on the free side of Barton Springs (otherwise known as “Barking Springs”) or swim at Barton Springs during their free hours (5-8 a.m.)
- Mueller Farmers Market is free (unless you buy stuff, duh!), and you can splash at Branch Park for free at the splash pad!

- Take a free tour of the Capitol.
- First Sunday at the Bullock (free admission on the first Sunday of the month).

CHEAP THINGS TO DO WITH KIDS IN AUSTIN THIS SUMMER

- Alamo Drafthouse Kids Camp ($5 movies)
- Barton Springs
- Quarry Splash Pad & Cedar Rock Railroad (both are at Southwest Williamson County Park).
- Cidercade has a $10 entry fee and free all you can play games once inside.
- Dart ‘Em Up has Twofer Tuesdays: 2 can play for $10 on Tuesdays.
- Half-price Twilight Hours at Rock’N River Waterpark every night from 5-7 p.m. (closed Wednesdays)
