SEPTEMBER 21 – OCTOBER 30
Pumpkin Nights is daily from 6-11 p.m. at Pioneer Farms, 10621 Pioneer Farms Dr, Austin. Walk through the spooky scenes, see the impressive lights displays, and all the entertainment like fire dancers, and more! Adults: $16-28 Children: $12-20

OCTOBER 7-28 (FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS)
Boo at the Zoo is coming back to the Austin Zoo. Come in costume, ride the haunted train, explore the haunted house, and see the animals at night! Bring flashlights! $22 per person, Children under 2 are free and must ride the train in an adult’s lap. Austin Japan Community- AJC Kids Halloween Festival at Cat Hallow Park from 2-4 p.m. Each ticket costs $9. Free admission for adults! It’s time to get together for the Halloween Fun with AJC Family Support!! Please join us in your Halloween costumes!

Pumpkin Chunkin Fall Festival is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Oct 13 at the South Austin Recreation Center at 1100 Cumberland Rd, Austin. This FREE event includes games, fall activities like pumpkin decorating, face painting, PLUS snow cones, popcorn, bounce houses, photo booth, and a pumpkin tossing contest! Halloween at The Hive is on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm-5pm (except 10/28 will be from 12pm to 5pm). Parents FREE with child’s admission. Price – $15 for hands-on Halloween Arts and crafts and other fun activities. Get tickets on Eventbrite or just come on by. Come join us at the Bee Cave Arts Foundation for Halloween family fun! The Bee Cave Arts Foundation will transform their space and have Halloween arts & crafts activities for children & families. Boo & Brew at the Arboretum is Oct 21 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Perfect for all ages: trick or treating and activities throughout the center for the kids, light bites and beer samples for the grown ups and of course costumes welcome! No toy weapons, costumes should be worn only during event hours and masks are allowed only on children 12 years old and younger.
Trunk or Treat for children with disabilities or limitations is Oct 21 from 4-6 p.m. This FREE trunk or treat event is at Ascension Seton Williamson, 201 Seton Parkway. Individuals with disabilities and their families are welcome to join us for a fun trick or treating night! Cars will be lined up in the parking lot ready to hand out candy. Come join us at this free event, jumping from trunk to trunk and trick or treat! Please bring your own trick or treating bags!
Trick or Treat Trail at McKinney Towne Lake Park from 3-9 p.m. Get ready for a spooktacular walk around the lake as we celebrate Halloween. This free 1.2-mile trail is full of haunting fun for the whole family. The trail is open from 3 – 6 p.m. FREE!
Fright Night at The Hive from 6-9 p.m. Come out to the Hive this Saturday from 6-10 PM for a family friendly Fright Night! Our backyard and garden will be decorated to add to the eerie atmosphere as your family creates DIY treat bags, takes photos in front of our photo set up, sings all the spooky songs you can during karaoke, and gets a peek into the future with tarot card readings. $5 gets you all this and more!
OCTOBER 22
Playland Skate Center Kids’ Halloween Party from noon-3 p.m. $13 admission includes roller skate rental. This year we are introducing our first KIDS HALLOWEEN PARTY! On Sunday, October 22nd, come out to Playland for a fun filled Halloween skate session! We are going to have a DJ, face painters, trick or treating stations, and a costume contest for the kids! We can’t wait to see the kiddos dressed up and ready to celebrate spooky season.

The Austin Symphony’s Halloween Children’s Concert is on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 3 p.m. It’s creepy, crawly and so much fun it’s spooky! Your little ghost or goblin will help haunt Long Center’s Dell Hall for Austin Symphony Orchestra’s annual Halloween Children’s Concert. This exciting concert features frightfully fun symphonic music that is stimulating for young eyes and ears (ages 2-10). Parking is available throughout San Gabriel Park, at the Georgetown Recreation Center, and across the river at the Georgetown Parks & Recreation Administration Office and McMaster Athletic Complex.

McKinney Falls State Park Halloween Hike is on Oct 28 & Oct 29 from 8:30-10 p.m. Event is free with paid entrance fees; Adults: $6, Children 12 and under: Free. Discover a whole new way to experience the night! Join us as we walk an easy trail (about 3/4 mile round-trip). Neill-Cochran House Museum Halloween Carnival from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Grab your costume or wear your favorite comfy autumn clothes, and head over to the Neill-Cochran House Museum this Halloween afternoon. Kids can enjoy Trunk-or-Treat*, a bouncy house, scavenger hunts, and more! Our friends from Latinitas will be leading an activity to make ofrendas in tribute to ancestors who have passed on in observation of el Día de los Muertos. This event is free! Sunday, October 29th between 11 AM and 3 PM, access to the lawn is free and open to the public. Drop in anytime to join the fun. The Neill-Cochran House Museum will be open for tours and children under 12 are always free. Free parking is available behind the Museum.
Halloween Events For Kids in Austin
The Pumpkin Express at the Austin Steam Train is on October 29 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The Cedar Park Depot will be decorated for the season—and feature a newly designed Pumpkin Patch! Take a walk through the patch, take photos and pick your pumpkin (included in your train ticket!) before boarding the train to Bertram. Costumes encouraged! All ages are welcome in all cars for the Pumpkin Express. On board the train, your 44 mile journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 30 minute layover at the historic 1912 Bertram Depot.
Enjoy views of Short Creek Canyon, the 300-foot-long wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel, and the Duffy-Shamrock communications mast-one of the tallest structures in the world! Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the Cedar Park concession car on this special ride! All cars are pulled by a diesel locomotive. This 44 mile ride is 3.5 hours round trip with a 15-minute layover. SCHEDULE: Departs 2:30 PM Returns 5:30 PM. Due to the unique nature of our non-profit railroad operations, there are no refunds.

Fall Fun Festival- Monster Bash in Round Rock is on Oct 31 from 9-11:30 a.m. at Old Settlers Park, 3400 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock. Don’t forget to come in costume and bring a canned food item to donate to the Round Rock Food Pantry. There will be carnival games for toddlers and preschoolers, hayrides, snacks, prizes, and fun entertainment for all to enjoy.
Hometown Halloween is Oct 31 from 3-7 p.m. Are you ready for a gleefully, ghoulishly, deliciously good time this halloween? Come to Hometown Halloween in Downtown Round Rock!
