A Whimsical Wonderland – Right Here in Austin! Why You Should Bring Your Kids
For those who might not know, the Creek Show is an annual event where artists transform Waller Creek/Waterloo Park into a captivating wonderland of light installations. Imagine your kids’ faces lighting up seeing those enchanting interactive lights displays. Pure magic!
Weโre always on the hunt for experiences that are both entertaining and educational, right? Creek Show blends art, design, and Austin’s unique culture. It’s an excellent opportunity for our kiddos to appreciate creativity and the importance of urban waterways.

Letโs be real: outings can get pricey. But the Creek Show? Itโs absolutely free! An affordable evening where the only thing you might end up spending on is some hot cocoa or a treat for the kiddos.
My boys are 5, 11, and 13 so I’m constantly searching for events that appeal to all ages. Whether you have toddlers, tweens, or teens, there’s something at the Creek Show for every age group. The interactive elements of some installations will have the younger ones giggling, while the older kids can engage in the deeper meanings and artistry.
