Fortlandia is is an interactive collection of forts built by local architects, designers, and artists. It is open daily from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (closed on Thanksgiving) at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, 4801 La Crosse Ave, Austin. Advanced tickets required (reserve your time slot).
Sweet Eats Fruit Farm’s Fall Festival continues into November and ends on November 12. Open daily from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets are $20-25.
Mama Mary’s Farm & Pumpkin Patch stays open through November 12. Open Wednesday-Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Santa’s Ranch opens November 3 and runs through December 31, 2023. Sun-Thurs 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and
Fri-Sat 6pm-11 p.m. Bring your friends and family and enjoy one of the best holiday light exhibits in the state! Día de los Muertos celebration is at Moody Amphitheater in Waterloo Park on November 1 from 6-10 p.m. This free celebration includes community altars, cultural activations, live music, dance performances, family-friendly activities, and more.
Music on Main is free live outdoor music in Round Rock. On the first three Wednesday evenings of November, you can go see FREE live music at Prete Plaza in downtown Round Rock from 7-9 p.m. Bring blankets and lawn chairs!

November 3
Wurstfest takes place in New Braunfels every year. This year it’s on November 3-12, 2023 at Landa Park. Enjoy good food, music, dancing, exciting carnival rides, games, beer, and more. Tickets are $18-20 (kids 12 and under are free).

It’s My Park Day is Austin Parks Foundation’s biannual, community-led day of service. Volunteers work in parks and green spaces around Austin on projects to improve their community parks like litter cleanup, tree mulching, invasive species management and more.

Free First Sunday at the Bullock Museum is on November 5 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Get free admission into the museum. Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during H-E-B Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Honor Native American Heritage Month with storytelling and hands-on activities. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase and tell the history of artifacts from around the state.

Coco Live-to-Film Concert at the Long Center is at 7:30 p.m. Disney Pixar’s Coco in Concert on Tour features a screening of the complete film with Oscar® and Grammy®-winning composer Michael Giacchino’s musical score performed by the 20-member Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México. Mozart’s Annual Holiday Light Show kicks off on Nov 9 and runs thru Jan 6, 2024. Reserve tables ($40-60) or free GA tickets online.

Zilker Botanical Garden Free Day from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Veterans Day Celebration from 3-9 p.m. at Yonders Point Venue in Old Settlers Park. Family activities, food trucks, LIVE music and more! 3103 Aten Loop, Round Rock
Movies in the Park: Moana is at Mabel Davis District Park. Movie will begin at dusk. Dogs, picnics and lawn chairs are welcome. Free!
Bee Cave On Ice opens on Nov 10 at the Hill Country Galleria and runs thru January 15th. The $15 ticket includes a skate rental and a 60-minute skate session. Reservations are highly encouraged, but a number of walk-ups will be available. Skate times each day vary.

Sunday Funday: Printing Press at Neill-Cochran House Museum from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Learn how to use an old fashioned printing press to make our own personalized thank-you cards. Veterans Services will assist with the activity, and at then end any thank-you cards made for veterans will be delviered to the local veterans hospital to brighten the day of a real American hero. All supplies will be provided, as well as staff, to help with instructions. This event is perfect for families with small children. Reservations are not required. Santa on the Terrace at the Long Center event is on November 25 at 11 a.m. Santa himself (the real one!) will be there to take free photos with you and your party, plus there will be cookies & cocoa, Mrs. Claus, a photo frame for “elfies”, and more holiday fun!

Santa’s Jingle House has so many cute and fun events for kids during the holidays. One of our favorites is the Holiday Bingo, Elf Scavenger Hunt & S’mores or just the plain Elf Scavenger Hunt. Get some treats and hunt for elves! We have done this several times over the years, and my kids have a blast each time. Even my 13 year old loved it last year, and said he wants to go back this year!
